Pipe Relining

Pipe Spy’s trenchless pipe repairs minimise on-site damage and providing a convenient and high-quality service to reseal cracked and damaged pipes.

The modern trenchless ‘no dig’ pipe repair

Pipe relining is modern pipe repair technology, designed to fix damage and leaks in underground pipes where it is too difficult, costly or time consuming to dig up or excavate the pipes. Pipe Spy utilises this strategy to offer trenchless pipe repairs, minimising on-site damage and providing a convenient and high-quality service to reseal cracked and damaged pipes.

Cracks or stress fractures can arise from high pressure earthworks above the buried pipelines. This type of damage is not uncommon as the pipes are reburied under earth, asphalt and concrete, and the weight of construction machinery compacts it further. Pipe relining is a simple way to repair a full-length section of the pipe all at once rather than patching up cracks here or there.

How we do it

Our trained and experienced team do this by inserting a resin coated liner repair sleeve inside the damaged section of the host pipe. Guided by underground CCTV, our team insert a deflated liner into the host pipe and position the liner to cover the full length of the damage.

The liner is then inflated with air pressure to cover the damaged section and the resin is left to cure. Once the resin has completely hardened, the liner becomes the new pipe. The full length of the damage in the original pipe is now sealed and the pipe is ready for immediate use.

The benefits of trenchless pipe repair

Tearing up the concrete or asphalt is messy and time consuming, not to mention expensive. Furthermore, it is entirely impractical for cracks or damage in pipes underneath buildings or building slabs.

Instead of digging, Pipe Spy uses CCTV camera technology with WinCan sewer camera software to check for damage in the pipes without having to remove earth, asphalt or concrete.

Unlike many pipe repair companies, our service can cover the full length of damage for underground pipes from pit to pit, reaching a simultaneous repair length from between 60 2 to 100 metres. Even extensive underground damage can be quickly and simply fixed with Pipe Spy’s ‘no dig’ repairs.
