When a rubber joint seal fails on installation, it is often far easier to cut out the failed rubber and patch seal the joint than excavate and dig up the faulty joint. Rubber ring seals can get detached over time and fall into the pipe, which needs to be cut away and removed before a new, more permanent seal can be applied.
The robotic cutter is also powerful enough to cut through metal, including steel. A star picket accidentally put through a pipe or a starter bar from the concreting stage that has punctured the drainage pipes might sound like a massive headache. However, our operators can cut away the puncturing metal, remove the obstruction and reline the pipe in one simple process.
